An autodidact chef who was passionate about the cooking at a young age, by helping his mother and his grandmother, both were chefs of their restaurant. “Learning by doing” is his philosophy.
After honing his craft in Europe where he has discovered the new palette of tastes, Chef Chumpol Jangprai returned to his root in Thailand in 2000. From his love of the nature to the delicacy of Thai cuisine, he has become a co-founder of R-Haan restaurant where he serves traditional royal cuisine preparing upon “the harmony of Thai savoury”. Thanks to his devotion to the quality local produces and a blend of spices yet precised seasoning, R-Haan is honoured 2 Michelin stars in 2020.
Being conscious of sustainable environment, his philosophy relies on a harmony of ingredients. Through the compositions of each dish, Chef Chumpol Jangprai brings us a journey of Thai cuisine and delivers his traditions and beliefs to which he profoundly attaches.
